Toning Lotion with Chamomile – Clarins

The French Cosmetic Lines have always been first with ground breaking options especially for skin.

Clarins is a French luxury cosmetic brand that has centered on a pioneering belief that well-being and happiness were inextricably linked to beauty, a daring holistic vision that the founder Jacques Courtin-Clarins was one of the first to express and apply. This is the basis of Clarins success.

Clarins will always choose a natural ingredient over a chemical one if it delivers the same level of effectiveness.  This is there golden rule all researches follow that’s why there are over 250 natural plant extracts in its formulas.

WOW, who knew I didn’t. I discovered Clarins by accident, as I have a few brands discussed here. I was working for Lord and Taylor doing makeovers and asked to help at the Clarins counter during their gift.

As always, I need to learn about the products to see why they are so loved.

I started with the Clarins toning lotion with Chamomile, since it was a constant request during the gift. This product soothes the skin as it tones.  Since Chamomile tea is a great relaxer at night I was curious.

So, the purifying Chamomile along with the linden extracts removes any trace of cleanser leaving skin PH balanced, clean and perfectly refreshed. It also softens skins and soothes irritations. This product also helps to control oil in oily skin yet leaves normal to dry skin feeling great. Chamomile has been recognized for years dating back to ancient Egypt for its medicinal properties.  In Rome they used it for anti-inflammatory and soothing actions.

Clarins created this toner to cleans, soothe and soften a perfect compliment for all skin types after cleansing.

I tried it for a few days and enjoyed the soothing effect to my skin and it did calm any irritants I had from the sun. What surprised me was the calming effect I felt from using the product. Now maybe this was just a suggestive feel since that I was connecting with the effects of drinking Chamomile tea, not sure time will tell??

The second favorite I found was Clarins’ Gentle Foaming Cleanser with cottonseed for normal to combination skin.

This nondrying creamy cleanser removes impurities, makeup and excess oil while not harming skins natural moisture balance. The Almond Cottonseed Extract is a skin conditioner since it possesses emollient attributes. The gentle formulae neutralizes the drying effects of hard water. It can be rinsed easily with cool or warm water.

What I like about this cleanser is how nice it foams up so a little goes a long way plus it feels very luxurious and doesn’t dry my skin.

It is available in a white tube with Clarins signature red printing of 4.4 oz for $26.00.

These two basic products, the basis of the Clarins line are show stoppers with there natural ingredients. This attributes to the Holistic nature of the Clarins line.
