WEN Cleansing Conditioner by Chaz Dean

I discovered WEN by Chaz Dean in 2010 while in San Diego, CA on a business trip.

Wow what an amazing info commercial I saw, I was truly impressed and needed something for my hair’s condition!

So, let’s backtrack and let me tell you about my hair. I have straight dark brown hair that I have my hair stylist perm with a body wave twice a year. I then decided to get highlights occasionally and also needed to have a touch up to cover my gray hair.

My hair stylist suggested I lighten my hair a few shades lighter brown for give the blonde highlights a softer effect.

Now I started doing this to my hair for a few years and noticed it was frizzy and even had some breakage due to curling iron use to make my curls smoother and have less frizz.

It was great some days but not great more days. I tried many shampoos for curly hair or permed hair and just as many conditioners and treatments. Some helped a little but nothing really was a great improvement.

Then I discovered WEN. What a fabulous product. It’s a cleansing conditioner that works as a 5 in 1 formula. It’s a shampoo, conditioner, deep conditioner, detangler and leave-in conditioner all in one, How 5 products? It cleanses like a shampoo thoroughly but doesn’t strip hair of natural oils. Its doesn’t lather so no harsh sulfates like in shampoos.

I saw a difference in one use but end of two weeks my hair was gorgeous. Its soft  but strong, curly but manageable and best of all not dry and frizzy just full of shine a and moisture.

The fabulous part is after the original sweet almond mint fragrance, Chaz Dean developed 4 other scents. Plus a few special scents he brings out for specific seasons.

The product is available in a Basic kit for $29.95 or a deluxe kit for $39.95. Which includes the pump bottle of cleansing conditioner and a trial size mousse and anti-frizz styling crème. The deluxe kit contains a replenishing treatment mist. Both come with a 16 oz free winter fragrance of cleansing conditioner.

Chaz Dean has also created other products to help with hair styling that I will speak about on another blog.
